Follow Up to Parker’s Attack

Just wanted to pop in and thank you for all your comments on my post about Parker’s attack. I know you’re busy ladies and I truly appreciate that you took the time the read through my post and leave thoughtful comments!
I’ve taken what you said to heart and have decided to write a letter to the owner of the dog. I really think it will give me the closure I’m looking for. A few of you mentioned that I needed to report the attack. After the attack happened I did file a report with the local pound. They took my statement and information on the dog. They said the dog needs two reports before it will removed from the owner. They wouldn’t tell me if there were previous reports filed but at least I know if something like this happens again there is already a file started for the dog. I had a hard time decided to do this. I don’t want to be cause of someone’s dog being removed but I felt that I needed to repot it in case something like this happens to someone else.

Don’t Forget About the Library

Most of us have been there. If you have little ones you may frequent it. When I was teaching I was there ALL the time but spent most of my time in the kids section.
Thus The New Infatuation Begins: My sister-in-law wanted to learn how to knit. When I asked her how she was going to learn she simply said she picked up a book at the library. I had a complete ahhh-hahhh moment. Why didn’t I think of that of that before? Duh, Of course the library has other sections besides the kids section. They even have a section for home décor obsessed gals like me.
I stopped by my local library ASAP and left with a arm full of home décor books! How exciting, an arm full of books for nothing! Next time I’m going to hit up the photography section. Kent’s going to join in on the fun and pick up a few gardening books.

I know it’s simple and maybe be something you’re already doing but if you’re not hit up your local library for some free entertainment. I saw a makeup section, cooking section, and yes even a whole crafting section!

Join Me for a Spot of Tea

We celebrated my aunt’s 55^th birthday last week with at spot of tea (in my best English accent) at Lavender House in Mckinney Texas. It was beautiful and I thought you might enjoy coming along.

The décor was French with a bit whimsy mixed in.

They had beautiful chandlers hanging throughout the restaurant

Love these! They has several hanging at different levels in the front window. I bet they look beautiful all lit up at night.

They also have a little sitting area with a full bar and this beauty. Our server played a special birthday song for my aunt. It made her day!

Love, love, love the comfy black chairs and toile table cloths. They really made the space feel cozy. I could have sat and chatted all day!

And my favorite part……….
On the count of three, 1, 2, 3, OHHH AHHHH! Aren’t these silver tea urns fabulous? I just couldn’t take my eyes off them!

Ok, enough walking around lets seat a spell and have some tea (again in my best English accent)! Ummm I think I’ll have the Earl Gray. What about you?

 

Are you hungry? I took the liberty of ordering for you, Italian chicken noodle soup, and pecan chicken salad served over mixed greens.
